Murano is an island of Venice where many small glass companies are located. Many of these companies specialize in certain types of glass products. For example, stores which sells ornamental glass lighting, decorative mirrors and glass kitchenware can be easily found all over the Murano.
The island’s characteristic of having such variety of glassmaking companies in one location is an attraction for many individuals and businesses who are interested in purchasing any glass products. Furthermore, the various specializations maintain a healthy level of competition on the island itself.
Murano Glass essentially became a brand in which they pride themselves on traditional glassmaking techniques as well as high quality products.
