Kartell Museum, Milan - Wednesday, June 8th, 2011
Museo Kartell features an exhibition where a timeline composed of four different lines is used as a backdrop, each of these line has a keyword attached to them. Products are displayed as pieces of sculpture placed behind glass or on tables. The featured products along with the timeline clearly demonstrates the development and changes in the production of Kartell.
Four keywords are utilized and red dots are place on the lines to convey the significance of each product. The four keywords used are ‘manifestation’, ‘design’, ‘technology’ and ‘communication’. There is also a brief description in Italian beside every product, which I do not understand unfortunately.
Overall, this exhibition can give visitors a good general history background of the company in a short amount of time. My only complaint is that they did not the English translations of the description.
